Various holiday items have specific recycling options, be sure to dispose of these items properly after you're done using them this season!
Recycle all your holiday lights and cords that no longer work. Bring lights to the Coon Rapids Recycling Center anytime we are open. Do not put these items in your curbside recycling container.
Curbside Christmas tree pick up will be offered by individual haulers the weeks following Christmas, check with your hauler for specifics. Follow guidelines for placement location, remove all decorations and check with your hauler for any other specifications.
Trees can also be taken to the Bunker Hills Compost Site .
Artificial trees cannot be recycled, but metal portions and lights can be. Separate the recyclable items.
Gift wrap cannot be recycled, and can be put in your curbside trash. Gift bags and ribbon are trash items as well. Try to reuse these items whenever possible.
