2024 Projects
The City's 2024 street reconstruction projects are underway! At its August 15, 2023 meeting, the City Council approved a proposed plan to reconstruct approximately 2.8 miles of local streets.

Project 24-1
A combined approximate total of 2.8 miles of residential streets.
In the Woodcrest neighborhood 2.5 miles will be reconstructed between Kumquat Street and Quince Street from 99th Avenue north to and including 101st Avenue. A new sidewalk will also be constructed on the north side of 99th Avenue from Coon Rapids Boulevard Extension to Woodcrest Drive.
By the Post Office .2 miles will be reconstructed on Goldenrod Street up to and including 102nd Lane and 102nd Avenue. The sidewalk on 102nd Avenue will be extended to Foley Boulevard.
90th Avenue east from East River Road and including Norway Street for .13 miles
Open House Information
Engineering staff will host two public open houses to present project information and answer questions residents and property owners may have. The first open house was held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, in Civic Rooms A & B at the Coon Rapids Civic Center. 11155 Robinson Drive, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. A second open house will take place in January, 2024. This open house will also occur in Civic Rooms A & B at the Coon Rapids Civic Center. 11155 Robinson Drive, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. A neighborhood open house meeting was held in late April or early May as an opportunity for residents to ask questions and meet City and Contractor project staff.

Reconstruction Costs
The majority of project costs will be paid for by the City, with a portion proposed to be assessed to the benefiting properties. Public and assessment hearings are scheduled to be conducted on February 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM at City Hall.
