If you lock yourself out of your vehicle, the Coon Rapids Police Department can help.
Call 911 and a Community Service Officer will be dispatched to your location. The amount of time it will take an officer to arrive on scene may depend on how busy the call volume is at the time.
Cost and How to Pay
The cost for this service is $20 and can be paid by cash or check, to the Community Service Officer on scene at the time of the service.
If you do not have cash or check available at the time of the service call, you can pay in person with cash, check or credit card at the Coon Rapids City Center from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Sorry, no credit card payments can be taken over the phone.
If you are not able to pay your fee in person between 8 am to 4:30 pm, you can mail your payment in the orange envelope provided by the officer at the time of your lock out, or drop off the orange envelope in the drop box located in front of the City Center.
